Wild Arctic Salmon Oil

Wild oily fish such as herring, sardines or mackerel is a very good source of the valuable unsaturated fatty acids Omega-3 EPA and DHA and vitamin D. Lean fish, on the other hand (kibbeling, fish sticks, tilapia and pangasius) hardly contains these important nutrients. The salmon in the Netherlands is (almost) always farmed salmon. Wild salmon cannot be afforded. But the farmed salmon has become a floppy salmon with little Omega-3 and just as much Omega-6, so in a ratio of 1:1.

Wild salmon is the queen of the fish and contains no less than 3 times as much Omega-3 as farmed salmon and much less Omega-6 than farmed salmon, resulting in an Omega 3:6 ratio of 10:1. The wild salmon oil reflects this and is therefore really making progress. You will therefore not understand that there are companies that dare to sell salmon oil from farmed salmon ... The daily dose (5 ml) (one dessert or coffee spoon) Wild Salmon Oil contains the Omega-3 fats of (converted) more than half a herring.

It has been scientifically proven that this amount of EPA and DHA is good for the heart**, good for your eyesight* (helps to keep your vision sharp) and good for your brain function*. The beneficial effect is obtained with a daily intake of 250 mg DHA* or 250 mg EPA/DHA**. These are legally approved health claims. No less than 20% of the fat in our brains consists of Omega-3 DHA.

Why is taking an omega-3 supplement useful?

Omega-3 fats are among our essential nutrients. That means, like most vitamins, you have to get them through your diet. Because many people do not like real oily fish (herring, salmon, mackerel, sardines), an Omega-3 supplement such as fish oil or algae oil is a useful addition to still get the right nutrients you need to grow old healthily .

What does science say about omega-3?

The Omega-3 fatty acids are among the nutrients that have been studied the most. Thousands of studies have been done on the importance of these good fats for our health. That is why the European government has also drawn up official health claims that express the effect of the Omega-3 fats on the heart, brain, eyes, blood pressure, blood fat level and the unborn child.
