Buy Pure L-Citrulline

L-Citrulline is a natural amino acid found in our bodies and in certain foods, such as watermelon and pumpkin. The Latin name for it is citrullus and it is a popular supplement among strength athletes and athletes. l-citrulline is a natural endogenous substance that is used in the body for important processes. This product is also suitable for vegans.

Why Buying L-Citrulline Is The Best Option Compared To Citrulline Malate

This supplement is completely pure, without any other additives. In many other l-citrulline supplements you often see that malate is added. That can mean that you sometimes ingest less than 50% of the active substance l-citrulline. It is always a good idea to look at the proportions of malate supplements. And by the way, scientific studies show that there are no major differences in the effects of both supplements. So our advice is to buy l-citrulline instead of malate.

What is l Citrulline ?

This substance is a naturally occurring amino acid in our body. It is found in some foods such as watermelons and is also naturally produced by the body. Our body turns L-citrulline into another amino acid called L-arginine. Due to European legislation, we are not allowed to mention the possible benefits of this supplement here because you can buy l-citrulline from us.

How is L-Citrulline produced?

  1. It can be produced as a dietary supplement through a fermentation process. In the fermentation process, specific strains of bacteria are used to convert precursor molecules, such as glucose or other sugars, into L-citrulline. This is then purified and processed into various forms, such as powders, capsules and tablets, for use as a dietary supplement.
  2. It is also possible to get this substance from natural sources, such as watermelons, which are naturally rich in this amino acid. Watermelons contain a high concentration in the skin and white part (the flesh) of the fruit. By extracting and purifying these parts of the watermelon, it can be obtained for use as a supplement.

Difference between l-Citrulline and citrulline malate?

As you may know or have already seen there are 2 different types that you can find in supplements. Both forms have similar properties, but there are some important differences between them. CItrulline malate is a combination of L-citrulline and malic acid (malate). Malatic acid is an organic acid that occurs naturally in apples, pears and other fruits. It is not necessarily the case that one is better than the other. Both forms have their own unique properties and benefits, and the choice between the two depends on the specific application and the individual needs of the person using them. Our citrulline supplement is the pure form of the amino acid citrulline

The advantage of l-citrulline is that it contains a higher concentration of the active substance compared to malate, making it easier to calculate the correct dosage and you therefore need less than the malate variant.

Remove L-citrulline from food

This natural substance is found in certain healthy foods, although the concentrations are generally quite low. Below are some foods that naturally contain a lot of this substance.

  1. Watermelon is the most well-known source. However, the amount in watermelon varies and depends on several factors, such as the type of watermelon, ripeness, size, and the region where the watermelon was grown. In general, the amount of L-citrulline in watermelon is believed to be highest in the flesh near the rind. Research has shown that the concentration in watermelon ranges from about 100 mg to over 250 mg per 100 grams of flesh.
  2. Cucumbers are another source, although the amounts are lower than in watermelon. One cup of sliced cucumber contains about 10-15 mg
  3. Other melons: In addition to watermelon, other melons, such as cantaloupe and honeydew melon, also contain small amounts.
  4. Pumpkins are another good source of and contain about 250-300 mg per 150 grams
  5. Seafood: Some seafood, such as shrimp and crab, contain small amounts.

These foods generally do not contain large amounts. In most cases, if you want to experience the l-citrulline benefits, it is best to take a supplement that contains a higher dose than what you could get from food alone. Always consult your doctor or certified dietitian before taking any supplement.
